Nice location for mountain-lovers. From there you can easily access different mountain trails, paths that help your body enjoy the fresh air. Yep, the hotel is kitsch (built to remind of a castle), the rooms are not big, the services can improve, but the surroundings are nice.
A very nice place in the heart of Poiana Brașov built to mimic a medieval castle. Great decorations hanging on three walls are creating an interesting sensation. Each room is different having its own identity.
So many good things to tell... Very nice clean rooms, very friendly staff, nice restaurant with very good food, no need to eat out. The hotel building is spectacular, a castle in a quiet area surrounded by nature, hiking trails 5 minutes away. We tried the escape room Dinner of Dracula and had a lot of fun solving the puzzles, although we did not manage to get out, quite dfficult. Overall best experience with a hotel in Romanian a mountain resort.
Quite nice and spooky, but the shower in tje room was broken, minibar empty and no possibility to eat or drink something at the restaurant because closed. Breakfast was an additional 50 ron x person (wich we didn't take) ... maybe other rooms are better but the Hatmans room was so so ... but we had a nice stay anyway . Good service all together from the front of house
It looks good and clearly it was better when it opened, but you can see the effort in maintaining it is not on par. The rocky wall decors are still nice but stairs already are chipped. The room was large, warm and nice though. Great wifi. No room service or food served in the restaurant, apart from the breakfast buffet. If winter and snow on the road, going down the steep slope to the entrance might pose difficulty to unprepared drivers.
Very good value for money — I’d give 5 stars just for that. This isn’t a regular hotel; the place truly has a soul. Sure, the Dracula theme isn’t the most original idea for Romania, but they went all in: they built an entire castle-like hotel, decorated the walls with real old weapons, and used authentic, old-fashioned touches like red carpets, mirrors, and candlelight. If you’re looking for something special, this is definitely a place to go. The staff also do their best to make your stay feel personal. At night, it’s very quiet — you can even hear the wind and rustling leaves, which adds to the authentic atmosphere. Now for the negatives: The cheapest rooms are tiny, located in the attic on the 3rd floor, and there’s no elevator — not ideal for older guests. There’s also no AC, so staying in the attic can be tough on hot days. Breakfasts are basic and not really worth €10. The hotel clearly needs some renovation — the age is showing. My shower was leaking, and some mattresses could use replacing. That said, the price is so reasonable that I’m willing to overlook these inconveniences. Still, if it were up to me, I’d invest in some renovations and charge a bit more — many guests would gladly pay extra for such a unique concept done at a higher standard.
Slightly further from the centre than I was expecting, but other than that a wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately the Spa isn't a full time thing and wasn't available for my partner to use (had to call an outside contractor to use, and they didn't pick up) Overall for me it was excellent, but partner was disappointed at first.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area of Brasov. I stayed there for 6 nights and overall my experience was nice. The room originally had some issues like the toilet not working but the manager and house keeping staff did their best to help and fix things. Eventually i was upgraded to a bigger room which was a pleasant gesture.
